Fourth Session~February 10, 2012

We had another great day in Cheer and Dance!  I brought my Flip Video Camera to our session and made some great videos of the girls in action!  We learned the last part of the dance, a new chant, and practiced our cheers.  As you can see for yourself, the girls are doing a great job! 

About the videos:I divided the girls (those who returned internet permissions) into grade groups and let them choose the cheer they wanted to perform.  Enjoy!  Go WGS!

Third Session~February 3, 2012

The girls (all 27 of them) had another great week!  We practiced our jumps & arm movements, learned a new cheer, and learned the next 8 counts of our dance!  We are always so surprised at how quickly the hour passes!  The girls are doing great and can't wait to show off all that they have learned at our last session!  Have a great week and see you next Friday!  Until then~Practice, Practice, Practice!

Note:  I have had 24 girls turn in their internet photograph permissions.  Please don't forget to turn your permission form in so I can add your girl's smiling face to our blog!

Second Session- January 27, 2012

Another great afternoon was had by all 26 girls who attended today!    We learned a new cheer and 2 more 8 counts of our Baby dance.  We ended our time together with the Cupid Shuffle and the Chicken Dance!  How much fun!  The girls did an excellent job! 

Thanks also to those of you who sent in photo/video permissions.  

Note about pictures:  I had 17 girls turn in their permissions, but only 10 of the forms made it to the gym.  I did, however, find the other 7 when I went back to my classroom.  I promise that all girls that have turned in permissions will have a picture on the blog this week.  Check back often!

First Session- January 20, 2012

The girls (all 24 of them in attendance) had a great time!  We learned proper stretching, practiced jumps, and learned new arm positions.  The girls also learned a new cheer.  The WGS cheer was a hit!  We ended our session with our dance. We learned the first 2-eight counts.  The girls danced and sang their hearts out.  Who knew they loved Justin Bieber so much?!? Make sure to practice, practice, practice and we will see you again next Friday!  Have a great week!
